One of the most significant phenomena that cause substantial damage to surface and subsurface structures annually is land subsidence. Subsidence occurring due to various factors. This study examines land subsidence caused by the decline in groundwater levels in the Mahvelat Plain. The Mahvelat Plain is located in the Razavi Khorasan province in the northeastern part of the country. In this study, the InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar) technique has been used to identify and measure subsidence in the Mahvelat Plain over the period from January 6, 2019, to February 21, 2024.The radar interferometry technique, due to its high capability in terms of cost and time efficiency as well as its high accuracy, is one of the most suitable methods for identifying and measuring the extent of subsidence. For the subsidence rate map and image processing, the GMTSAR software has been used, and the SBAS (Small Baseline Subset) method has been employed to generate the time series of subsidence. results indicated that the highest subsidence rate was in the Mahvelat Plain during the period from 2019 to 2024, based on satellite images, occurred in the central part of the plain, where the aquifer has maximum thickness, with a rate of 8.6 cm/year.An area of approximately 44 square kilometers in the subsidence region experienced a subsidence rate of over 6 cm/year, while 220 square kilometers of the area experienced subsidence rates between 3 to 6 cm/year.Overall,
